Is it a mineral?  (Characteristics of all minerals)

If ALL FOUR things are true about the object, then it's a mineral! (MINERALS, INC)

"Mineral"  (parody of "Firework" by Katy Perry)

Do you get confused when you’re in science class

So many things to learn, you think you’ll never pass?

Do you want to know what is a mineral?

It’s more than just a word in ads for cereal

They’re part of the Earth often they’re buried deep

Created underground but if you look they’re all around

Do you know that there’s an easy way to tell

If it’s a mineral, you’ve just gotta

Remember these four things because they’re what defines a mi-ner-al

Cause baby you’re a mineral

Solid, inorganic

Meaning you’re not liv-iv-ing

And you never were ali-li-live

Cause baby you’re a mineral

Naturally occurring

You have a crystal stru-uc-ture

Atoms lined up in a row-row-row

Baby you’re a min-er-al, you’re like a building block,

‘Cause you and all the other minerals are the primary things that make up rocks

You’re naturally occurring, that means you’re not made by man

Didn’t come from a factory or furnace, not something we create by hand

You’re inorganic, that means you’re not alive,

Never were alive, never were a part of anything that lived and died

You’re solid, so your molecules are packed in close,

In fact they’re lined up in a crystal structure, stacked in rows.

Remember these four things because they’re what defines a mi-ner-al

Cause baby you’re a mineral

Solid, inorganic

Meaning you’re not liv-iv-ing

And you never were ali-li-li ve

Cause baby you’re a mineral

Naturally occurring

You have a crystal stru-uc-ture

Atoms lined up in a row-row-row

Boom, boom, boom, minerals inside the moon, moon, moon

Minerals inside of you, you, you, in almost everything we do, do, do
